University of California Los Angeles School of Law

Dear Christian Milan,



As you know, the Atlanta Law School Forum is on Friday, October 26th from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 27th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta (265 Peachtree Street, NE). As a registered participant, you will have the opportunity to speak to many law school representatives.



We would like to personally invite you to stop by UCLA School of Law’s table (#78). We will have admissions representatives and alumni there to answer any questions you may have.



As you may know, UCLA Law is recognized as one of the nation’s top law schools and one of the finest in California. We would like to share with you a few exciting facts about our law school.



· Among the nation’s leading law schools, UCLA is the youngest and the only public law school in southern California.



· 99.3% of UCLA law graduates are employed 9 months after graduation with a median starting salary of $120,000 ($130,000 for those entering the private sector).



· UCLA Law graduates earned the highest bar passage rate in California for the July 2005 exam, with 89% of first-time test takers passing. (86.7% of first-time test takers passed the July 2006 exam.)



· UCLA boasts 26 innovative and diverse clinical offerings including subjects such as Capital Punishment, Environmental Law, Immigration Law, Mediation, Sports Law, and Trial Advocacy.



· The curriculum includes a number of joint degree programs with other UCLA departments on campus including the UCLA Anderson School of Management where one can earn a J.D./M.B.A. in four years.



· UCLA offers 14 diverse programs and centers such as Business Law and Policy, Critical Race Studies, Entertainment and Media Law, Public Interest Law and Policy, Environmental Law, International and Comparative Law, Sexual Orientation Law and Real Estate Law.



· UCLA Law offers a collegial environment that affords students many opportunities for involvement, participation and leadership in nearly 40 student organizations and 13 student-edited journals covering a broad spectrum of topics and interests.



· The Law School is nestled in a beautiful and safe residential neighborhood less than seven miles from the Pacific Ocean.
