The Gonzaga University School of Law

Dear admitted JD student with some transferable United States of America advanced placement credits Sir Christian Milan jurisdoctorstud cmilan485 :

Greetings from Gonzaga University School of Law! As you commit your time to determining which law school will best meet your legal education ideals, we hope you will take a few moments to learn about the opportunities offered by Gonzaga University School of Law. Founded in 1912, Gonzaga University School of Law is located in the sought-after Pacific Northwest region of the United States. This year we welcomed 207 new students from 32 states. Why did they choose to pursue their legal education at Gonzaga?

Academics

The intensity of Gonzaga’s legal program gives our graduates an advantage when it comes to the essential skills the law demands. Expect to be put to the test here. Our program is rigorous and challenging, but we expect you to succeed- and we’ll do everything we can to help you achieve the goals you’ve set for yourself. This commitment to the success of our students is what sets Gonzaga’s law program apart- it’s how we define excellence.

Career Placement

Career Services is your link between academics and the working world. Career Services works closely with legal employers nationwide to fill open intern and associate positions with qualified Gonzaga students and alumni. The value of the Gonzaga JD degree is evidenced in our placement statistics. Over ninety percent of our graduates are employed within nine months of graduation. Whether you hope to practice in Spokane, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, New York City, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago (and we could go on), Gonzaga has alums working throughout the country who are ready and willing to advise you on breaking into their legal market.

Gonzaga Culture

Gonzaga University School of Law is a true community. We foster a collaborative learning environment that elicits the individual best from each of our talented students. You feel the difference when you walk through our front doors. Students and faculty alike congregate in our lobby and hallways discussing the topic of a lecture earlier in the day, current world events, summer internship plans or Gonzaga basketball. Student organizations actively promote upcoming speakers, fundraisers for local non-profit groups and social events throughout the academic year. It is this active learning community that our students remember fondly long after their legal studies have been completed.

Location

Gonzaga University School of Law is located on the north bank of the Spokane River in the heart of the downtown Spokane University District. The Spokane/Coeur d’Alene region offers a relaxed lifestyle that our students find strikes just the right balance for the law school experience. When our students are not busy with their studies, a myriad of activities await them. Our four season climate offers incredible opportunities for outdoor recreation enthusiasts who enjoy skiing, golfing, kayaking, snowboarding, hiking and more. Our downtown location offers access to touring Broadway productions, concerts, art galleries, shopping and community events/celebrations. Take a moment to explore the lifestyle our region offers at http://www.visitspokane.com.

Scholarship Opportunities

Gonzaga recognizes the significant financial investment a legal education represents, thus School of Law annually awards nearly two million dollars in renewable scholarships to entering students. All applicants are considered for merit scholarships by the Admissions Committee. Students who have a passion for public service are encouraged to submit a separate scholarship application for our most coveted scholarship award: the Thomas More Scholarship Program provides a full tuition scholarship to highly motivated students committed to public service through the practice of law.
