The University of Denver School of Law

University of Denver at the Washington, DC Forum
We are excited to hear that you have registered to attend the Washington, DC Forum. To help with your law school research, the University of Denver Sturm College of Law would like to share some initial information with you about our programs and invite you to visit our table at the forum. You can find us at table 620 at the Washington, DC - Marriott Wardman Park Hotel from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2008.

This is an exciting time at the Sturm College of Law. Our newly constructed green building provides a well planned and comfortable atmosphere with spaces designed to facilitate the exchange of ideas. From our building-wide wireless access to our technologically enhanced training courtroom, our learning environment prepares you for success in an increasingly multidisciplinary and international world.

Here are a few Sturm College of Law highlights:
The Sturm College of Law offers a traditional J.D. program, as well as Master of Law (LL.M.) degrees in several distinctive areas of study. We also offer specialty programs and dual degrees.
Our Student Law Office, one of the oldest and most exciting clinical programs in the country, allows students to begin representing clients beginning in their second year. Under the supervision of experienced faculty, students represent indigent clients in a number of different areas of law.
The Sturm College of Law’s Trial Advocacy program is the first ever to win both the National Civil Trial Competition and the American Trial Lawyers Association Competition in the same year.
The American Bar Association recently honored the University of Denver Sturm College of Law with the organization’s highest award for achievement in environmental law, emphasizing DU’s place among the nation’s top-ranked institutions in the field.
The University of Denver is just ten minutes from downtown Denver, Colorado. Students take advantage of the career-enhancing opportunities available in this city and also enjoy the distinct recreational activities found both in Denver and in the mountains, just minutes to the west. With over 300 days of sunshine and remarkably mild winters, you’ll no doubt find this a vibrant and engaging place to live.

We look forward to seeing you in DC.
“I am very happy with my decision to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. The faculty challenges me intellectually while also preparing me for the practice of law through our Student Law Office and our Pioneer Legal Internship Program. The student body is composed of amazing people and I have made numerous friends that I am proud to call future colleagues.”
